ACCESS is a network of community churches and individuals providing food pantries, casework services, holiday food baskets, and poverty simulation training.

An "island of hope" in the Baxter neighborhood, the community center offers a Family Assistance Program, budget counseling, WIC, daycare, health clinic, counseling, mentoring, recreational activities, volunteer program, and Head Start.

Bethany is the nation's largest adoption and family services agency, offering a wide range of services such as adoption, foster care, refugee assistance, counseling, adoption preparation, support groups, infertility ministry, and a crisis pregnancy hotline.

Camp Tall Turf is a non-denominational Christian camp committed to a ministry of reconciliation among a diverse group of young people, equipping them for lives of service in God's world.

The CLC Network provides an array of services to students and adults who experience challenges in schools and the world of work. Services include academic special education (K -12) as well as post-school adult vocational and social support programs.

The Christian Reformed World Relief Committee (CRWRC) is a relief, development, and educational ministry of the Christian Reformed Church in North America. CRWRC partners with local agencies that understand local needs, finding ways to provide lasting change for people in more than 30 countries around the world.

Madison Square Church is a member of Classis Grand Rapids East -- a group of 15 Christian Reformed congregations in southeast Grand Rapids. Delegates of these congregations meet three times each year -- in January, May and September -- for mutual encouragement.

Reflecting the love of Christ to all who come, Degage builds relationships and offers programs such as food, hygiene, and referral services that foster dignity and respect.

Cadets, Gems, and Youth Unlimited for boys, girls and teens are all a part of this umbrella organization.

The Forgotten Man Ministries is a non-denominational organization with a mission to carry the gospel of Jesus Christ to inmates housed in the county jails of Michigan. They are presently serving in 32 jails, offering Bibles, weekly worship services, group Bible studies, personal biblical counseling, correspondence Bible courses, Bookcart & Literature ministries, drug and alcohol related programs, video ministries, and special seasonal programs.

Through tutoring and mentoring, this interdenominational organization has a mission to share God's love with people who have learning impairments and to enable them to become an active part of God's family.

Gideons International serves as an extended missionary arm of the church. Their sole purpose is to win men, women, boys and girls to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ through association for service, personal testimony, and distributing the Bible in populated areas and streams of everyday life.

Guiding Light Mission encourages the homeless and disadvantaged of Grand Rapids to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, become free of life-controlling substances, and seek long-term employment and housing. This is accomplished through spiritual, educational, and vocational services in a supportive and structured Christian environment.

This Christian housing ministry of volunteers builds decent homes in partnership with families in need.

HIS provides medical and general eye care for the uninsured and underinsured.

Home Repair Services is a private non-profit organization working to equip lower income neighbors for successful homeownership. They offer low-cost repairs, access ramps, financial counseling, tool lending, and home maintenance classes. (Si! Se habla español.)

ICCF provides shelter, rental, and home ownership opportunities to low and moderate-income families, as well as education and support services.

Free clothing, furniture, and household items are available by referral to families in need.

Madison volunteers assist teachers at this inner-city school in a variety of ways, such as providing tutoring to help improve reading and math skills.

Workforce Intervention for Successful Employment (W.I.S.E.) is a Baxter Community Center program assisting women and men in poverty, or with histories of substance abuse or incarceration. Components of this holistic approach include job readiness training, stress management, peer group support, and counseling.

Several multicultural scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $5,000 are given annually as part of Kuyper College's efforts to create a more diverse student body and a campus community that celebrates cultural diversity. Multi-ethnic scholarships to this Christian college are offered to selected first-year students.

Mel Trotter is a licensed long-term substance abuse treatment center for men, women, and children that provides outreach ministry to the poor and homeless of Grand Rapids. Services include support groups, education, worship, emergency food, clothing, and furniture.

Pregnancy Resource Center offers confidential services including free pregnancy testing, abortion counseling and alternatives, referrals, and social services.

This inner-city, Christian school offers a Christ-centered education to children from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds in a multi-cultural, urban setting.

Restorers is a collaboration of Madison/Hall area churches including Madison Square Church to promote sustainable change in families and the neighborhood. Available courses include financial freedom, home ownership, and parenting. Tutoring, job assistance, and counseling are also available.

Safe Haven Ministries provides services to abused women and their children including support groups, individual counseling, case management/legal advocacy, the "I Feel Better Now" children's workshop series, and continued support for former residents of Ramoth House.

VIS connects hurting families to caring churches who provide a variety of supports such as mother's helper services, minor home repair, and mentoring.

Children ages 10 - 17 are served by many available treatment programs for substance abuse, outpatient counseling, employment training, and supervised independent living. Wedgwood also offers an adjudicated sex offenders program and respite care.
