Children’s Church Extras

Follow UP Questions

Each week we teach a message from the Bible in Children’s Church. This message is linked to the same scripture that is used in the sanctuary sermon to aid you in teaching at home. Here are some ways that you can follow up with your children to reinforce the good work that God is doing in their hearts.

This week in Children’s Church we heard the story of Pentecost and then spent some time remembering some of the stories we heard this past year from the book of Acts and how Paul and the other apostles were able to do some amazing things through the power of the Holy Spirit. We then thought about how the Holy Spirit has worked in and through us in this past year.

Consider asking your child the following questions:

What was your favorite Bible story from the book of Acts?

What did learn this year?

Do you remember any memory verses?

Do you know God better?

Has your faith grown?

Do you live differently?

How has the Holy Spirit been at work in you this year?

  • This was the last week of Children’s Church this school year.
  • We will offer summer Children’s Church at the 9:00 service only for K-2nd graders from July 7-August 11.
  • This Wednesday, May 22, we will have a parent meeting from 6-7pm in the sanctuary to talk about summer camps and programming. Childcare will be provided.

Kids’ Bulletin

We are striving to be multigenerational in our worship, so whether you choose to bring the whole family into sanctuary worship or your children participate in Children’s Church, we support you. Using the children’s bulletin with your child is a great way for you to help them connect the sanctuary sermon in a way they can receive it. [ more ]
